Alternative design for Blade Runner book cover and illustrations
During my studies I've created my proposition for book cover and series of 3 illustrations for book "Blade Runner: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

Podczas trwania studiów zaprojektowałam alternatywna propozycję dla okładki, oraz serii 3 ilustracji dla książki
Colors
Both the cover and the illustrations fit in only 3 colors - I used red for the background, black - as shadows, and white, in the form of light in the brightest spots. The red chosen as the background emphasizes the catastrophic atmosphere of the book.In addition, the preservation of the designs in such a limited color scheme was supposed to emphasize the apocalyptic mood of the book, and the limited resources faced by the characters themselves.
Kolorystyka
Zarówno okładka jak i ilustracje mieszczą się w tylko 3 kolorach- czerwień użyłam do tła, czarny- jako cienie, oraz biel, w postaci światła w najjaśniejszych punktach. Czerwień wybrana jako tło podkreśla katastroficzny klimat książki.
Dodatkowo zachowanie projektów, w tak ograniczonej barwie kolorystycznej miało uwydatnia apokaliptyczny nastrój książki, oraz ograniczenie środków, z którym zmagają się sami bohaterzy.
Subject matter
As the subject matter of the illustration, I've chosen a symbolic representation of the most crucial scenes for the development of the main character, and themes presented in the book.
Tematyka
Jako tematykę ilustracji wybrałam symboliczne przedstawienie scen najbardziej kluczowych dla rozwoju głównego bohatera, oraz motywów przedstawionych w książce.
